Govt actively pursuing AoA to ensure JK’s all round development: Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura

Minister for Agriculture Production, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today said that the Government was committed to develop the Jammu and Kashmir as a model State with special focus on ensuring sense of security among all sections of society with peace and dignity.Addressing a large public gathering at Chrar-e-Sharief, the Minister said that the constituency will be developed on modern lines by ensuring all necessary amenities for the people. Several initiatives in this direction have already been taken by the administration.The Minister said that the Government is actively working on progressive Agenda of Alliance agreed between PDP and BJP and all out efforts are being made to ensure equal developmental opportunities to the people of all the three regions of the State. He said peace is imperative to implement the roadmap laid down in the “Agenda of Alliance”(AoA), which would be taken to the logical conclusion through tangible initiatives at the political, economic and administrative fronts. He said the PDP under the leadership of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed joined hands with BJP to form a Government in the State not for the sake of power, but with larger objective of resolving the political, economic and development issues of Jammu and Kashmir.  

Recalling the contribution of the former CM late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed towards the development of the State, Mr Hanjura said that he (Mufti) was a great statesman who had a vision for making Jammu and Kashmir as a model State where in the people would be provided with every possible facility. He said that “we would endeavour to carry forward the mission of the visionary leader under the leadership of present Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti”.Mr. Hanjura also highlighted the achievements of the present Government and several welfare schemes including Beti Bachao – Beti Padao, skill development programme, Ujallah scheme, free LPG among below poverty line beneficiaries, PMSY and PM Fasal Bhima Yojna and soil health cards which have been launched in the State with the aim to improve the living standards of the people.Referring to the developmental works under execution in the Chrari-e-Sharief Constituency, the Minister said that an amount of Rs 1.50 crore has been released out of Constituency Development Fund (CDF) during the current year so far under different sectors. He said the construction work on various micro and macro projects including hospital buildings is apace. Mr. Hanjura said that the ongoing construction work of Primary Health Centres in the Constituency will be completed within two months. He said the construction work of up gradation and new road projects will be started soon.
