ADC inspects NCC National Integration Camp

Maj Gen Nilender Kumar, Additional Director General NCC J & K today visited the National Integration Camp being held at NCC Camping Ground Nagrota.General Nilender Kumar was received by Brig Rajan Jamwal Group Commander of NCC Group Jammu.  Five hundred NCC cadets and Associate NCC Officers representing all states and union territories are participating in this unique national integration camp.Smartly dressed NCC contingent, comprising of boy and girl cadets, put up impressive show in presenting Guard of Honour to General Nilender Kumar.Later he witnessed a cultural programme based on the rich cultural heritage of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions presented by the NCC Cadets on the occasion.The General Officer while addressing the cadets highlighted the importance of   such camps for maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood and strengthening national integration.   He further lauded the significant contribution being made by the NCC in grooming the youth of the country. 

He said the strength of NCC has grown over the years, but considering the strength of youth particularly in J&K, more boys and girls needed to be brought under the ambit of the organization. He said that  NCC offers a fantastic platform to the youth to develop leadership qualities. He exhorted upon the participants to make use of this opportunity by developing positive energy in them through various training activities during the camp.The General Officer complimented the cadets for their impressive drill and cultural programme and wished them great success, happiness and good luck in all their future endeavors.Brig Rajan Jamwal, in his welcome address gave a resume of the aim and objectives of the camp. He thanked the General Officer for his presence which would further inspire and motivate the young cadets towards nation building.
