OICs stand on JK heartening : Yasin Malik

‘It actually vindicated our viewpoint’

Hailing the declaration issued during OIC meeting in which it supported the struggle of people of Jammu Kashmir for their self-determination and accepted the struggle and sacrifices of Kashmiris as a referendum for the same, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik on Friday said that despite all efforts of India to claim Jammu Kashmir as its integral part, no country or forum from IOC to United Nations has accepted this Indian claim and each one has termed Jammu Kashmir as a dispute territory that needs to be resolved peacefully.In a statement issued to KNS, JKLF spokesman while quoting the party chief said that “by urging a dialogue on Jammu Kashmir and by accepting Kashmiris as the prime party to dispute and asking for their inclusion in negotiation process, OIC has actually vindicated our point of view and also acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by the people of Jammu Kashmir.”While thanking OIC (an organization of more than 50 Muslim countries) for their support, Malik said that this support at a time when Kashmiris are facing a worst phase of repression is very heartening.He urged international community to take a serious note of the ongoing repression in Jammu Kashmir during which hundreds have been killed, thousands injured, thousands put behind bars and whole Kashmir has been turned into a concentration camp.

Terming the termination of many government employees as act of ‘state belligerence’, Malik said that “from 1988 onwards Jammu Kashmir saw many Governors who ruled here and despite active freedom struggle and sustained peoples rebellion against Indian occupation no one witnessed a crackdown of this magnitude ever during their times.”He said that today even government employees are also being subjected to state violence and this is being done only to settle political vendetta and take revenge from them.JKLF chief said that on watching Mehbooba unleashing reign of terror against students, elders, common people, women, youth and employees, the Governors who ruled state before her will be feeling ashamed on their performance.“In fact she has surpassed every oppressor and has only proved her faithfulness and Sister-ship to Governor Jagmohan who used same tactics of oppression against people of Jammu Kashmir in 1990,” added Malik.He said that Mehbooba regime is in fact deployed to implement RSS agenda on Jammu Kashmir and the oppression we are witnessing today is the manifestation of this Nagpori agenda.
