Jamia Masjid Sealing: APHC expresses strong resentment

APHC on Friday said that  it is a pity and extremely  unfortunate that for the past 15 Friday's that the government headed by a Muslim with 70% Muslim population in the state,  is preventing hundreds of thousands of Muslims across the valley from offering  mandatory congregational prayers  at the  historic and central Jamia Masjid in Srinagar  and other main mosques of the valley by enforcing curfew and strict restrictions using the police force most of whom are Muslims themselves to implement it. But the same government goes all out to ensure the smooth conduct and facilitation of the yearly Amarnath Yatra.

Expressing strong resentment over such hypocrisy APHC said that disallowing people from offering Friday prayers and incarcerating the Mirwaiz of the state shows the scant respect or connect that the government has towards the religious sentiments of the Muslims of the state and how willing they are to make any compromise to stay in the powerless chair.The APHC said not only the common people but Ulema, Imams, prominent citizens, scholars and intellectuals are deeply concerned over the continuous ban on offering prayers at Jamia Masjid, Srinagar and the continued arrest and solitary confinement of the Mirwaiz, other resistance leaders and thousands and  for condemn these  actions of the puppet government.APHC said that the use of brute force tear gas shelling and pellet firing on the protest marches across Shehar-e-Khas on the call of the unified resistance leadership continued, while people raised slogans calling for the immediate release of the APHC Chairman, other resistance leaders, activists and thousands of freedom-loving youth. Peaceful protests in Sopore, Haigam, Gandbard, Ganderbal, Pulwama and other places were once again quelled by use of brute force the spokesman added.Expressing concern over nocturnal raids in Chattabal area of Srinagar and other places in Kashmir, the conglomerate condemned the action of the government forces for detaining fathers when they fail to nab their sons.Meanwhile incarcerated APHC Chairman, expressed grief over  the death of people in motor accidents on both sides of the tunnel in Reasi, Rajouri and Kashmir valley, and conveyed his condolences to the affected families and prayed for the recovery of the injured.
