Arvind Kejriwal to release 21 point Trade and Industry manifesto on 23 October at Ludhiana

Aam Aadmi Party National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal will release Trade and Industry manifesto for Punjab on October 23 at Ludhiana. Holding a press conference on Friday at Chandigarh, Chairman Punjab Dialogue Committee Kanwar Sandhu and Head of Trade and Industry wing AAP, Aman Arora said that the anti-traders policies of SAD-BJP have forced the industrialists to shift their units in other states. There is great need to reinstall the faith of the traders in the government by drafting pro-traders policies.On his 3 day visit to Punjab Kejriwal will meet traders and industrialists at Ludhiana and Mandi Gobindgarh on October 23rd. He will release the manifesto and address the community there. On October 24th apart from paying respect at Gurdwara Damdama Sahib at Talwandi Sabo, Kejriwal will interact with the trader community at Bathinda and Jalandhar. On the last day of his visit Kejriwal will visit Batala and Mohali to meet traders and will listen to the problems and possible solutions from the community. 

Talking about the Trade and Industry manifesto, Kanwar Sandhu said that 7 dialogues were organized with the different sections of trade community including Commission agents, Sheller owners, Real estate, Hoteliers etc throughout the state. The committee got more than 2000 written suggestions and many email that helped team to draft the manifesto. Apart from the Punjab dialogue committee, trade and industry wing organized meetings with the community at around 30 places. Sandhu said that the investor’s summits organized by Punjab government were mere eyewash and it failed to provide apt environment to the industry forcing it to shift its base. As per the record more than 18000 small and medium industry units have been shut down in recent year.Arora said that due to the government apathy, higher power tariffs and gunda taxes industrialists were forced to shift their businesses in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. AAP promises to stand by the rights of trader community and will provide a healthy environment for doing business in the state. He said that land, sand and liquor mafia will be wiped out of the state after formation of AAP government in the state.
