Continuing her mission of showcasing prowess of India concerning key economic sectors abroad, the Union Food Processing Industries Minister Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal today held a series of meetings in Paris with the representatives of various companies concerned with Dairy, Machinery, Agri-Business and Food Processing sector.Mrs Badal while addressing the France-India Agri business and food processing industries conference termed these as the core areas which would be at the heart of ever expanding economy of India as well as the France.During the meetings, the Union Minister laid special emphasis on investment and exchange of expertise in these sectors so as to prove mutually beneficial for both India and France. In the course of meetings, Damein Lacombe Chairman of biggest French Dairy cooperative-‘Sodiaal’, ‘ADEPTA’ -An association of machinery manufacturers, ‘Roquette’- the biggest starch manufacturer, Philippe de Raynal CEO of France's biggest grain cooperative AXEREAL group and Shaoul Abramczyk Chairman of Mandar group took part and interacted with the Union Minister on increasing co-operation and investment avenues in their respective sectors.In a significant boost to the un-tiring efforts of the Government of India especially those of Mrs. Badal, the Roquette group announced a grand investment vista in food processing sector. The AXEREAL group evinced keen interest in setting up a malt based hot drinks plant in India. Similarly, Shaoul Abramczyk Chairman of Mandar group expressed interest in collaborating for garlic sourcing and herbs.Mrs. Badal thanked all the prospective investors for taking keen interest in investing in India and assured them of all the support in their ventures. The Union Minister described these investment announcements as the game changers for the economic structure of India.
