Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment and Punjab BJP chief, Vijay Sampla today expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the National SC/ST Hub in Ludhiana. In his blog, Sampla said that by inaugurating the National SC/ST Hub in Ludhiana, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had realized

the vision of Dr. Ambedkar. Sampla blogged, “Dr. Ambedkar believed in the philosophy that SC/STs need jobs, not palliation. PM Modi has realized his vision. By choosing Punjab for the Hub, he has not only honoured the state, but also has proved his optimistic ideology. The program was announced in the last Budget to provide support to entrepreneurs form the community. Those who used to seek jobs will now create jobs for others. The community will now progress and add to the economic growth of the nation. Launched under the MSME ministry, this hub is bound to create a history in the industrial and economic sector. Interestingly, with this program the Centre government hasn’t just harnessed their entrepreneurial spirit of the community but has also ensured that their marketing is in place for their produce. It has been made mandatory that 4 per cent of procurement done by ministries, departments and CPSEs will have to be from enterprises owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs. Punjab is a state where the SC/ST population percentage is highest in the country. Therefore, this step would be a revolutionary step towards dalit empowerment in the Punjab”.Vijay Sampla further wrote, “At the same time the Zero Defect Zero effect scheme launched formally today will give a boost to manufacturing sector and Indian businessmen will be able to provide recognition to ‘Make in India’ throughout the world. I heartily congratulate Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Minister Kalraj Mishra for choosing the land of Punjab for this program. This will open new doors of opportunities for the growth and development of the dalit community and new goals have been set for them”.
