DC reviews functioning of Revenue Department

District Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar convened a meeting to review the functioning of Revenue Department here today.The Deputy Commissioner held detail review of the progress made under ongoing entry of Girdawari and directed the revenue staff to involve Numberdar and Chowkidar for purification of record of entries. He directed Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar to ensure proper record in prescribed register. He also called for proper check of Harvest inspection of Girdawari entries and directed Tehsildars to submit regular reports on harvest inspection report.Eviction on Kah Charai and State Land was also reviewed in the meeting during which it was informed that a total of 513.15 kanals of land has been evicted during the month. DDC also gave away Naibat wise fresh targets for eviction on kah charai and state land. He impressed upon the field functionaries to keep strict check on encroachment and land conversion cases.DDC stressed for taking immediate action in case of any conversion of land, further directed SDM and Tehsildar to ensure preparation of Jamabandis. He passed strict instructions for reconstruction of extract of aks Masavi & Latha to save the original record before the next Girdawari schedule to be held in April, 2017.DDC Kathua directed all the Tehsildar to open the facility of single window in their respective tehsils to facilitate people which will save their valuable time and money. He stressed for strict implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act, 2011 in its true spirit.
While taking review of the work of attesting mutation, DDC called for speeding up the attestation process and submission of record about any pendency to the DDC office.To fasten and to make correct and legible entries in the process of attesting Jamabandi in all respective Patwar Halqas, DDC directed revenue officers to conduct camps after notification to all the concerned under laid down procedure.For establishment of own office building for the offices of SDM, Tehsildars and Niab-Tehsildars, DDC directed revenue officers to identify the land at the earliest besides speeding up the land acquisition process for the development works in their respective tehsils.DC also discusses the arrangements and preparedness for ensuing Diwali festival.He directed SDM’s to ensure that to regulate the storage and sale of crackers in their respective jurisdictions. The directions were issued that no fireworks, explosive material will be sold or stored in place other than notified. He also directed for ensuringthat no person shall stock the crackers without valid license issued by the concerned SDM’s /Tehsildars. He called for proper check on vendors/ shopkeepers to make sure that they are following the guidelines laid down for the purpose including the provision of potable fire extinguishers at their respective places.He said that committees constituted will keep a check on the quality and rates of eatables, sanitation, and encroachment in market places and other busy places in the town. He also directed the committees constituted for the purpose to keep a check especially on the adulterated and synthetic milk products.ADC Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan, ACR Kathua Jitendra Mishra, SDM Hiranagar Sohan Lal, SDM Bani Ajeet Singh besides all Tehsildar’s , Naib Tehsildars were present in the meeting.
