Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura reviews health scenario in Chrar-e-Sharief

Calls for early completion of hospital buildings

Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Tuesday asked officials of Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) and Housing Board to speed up work on all hospital buildings in Charar-e-Sharif Constituency, so that these are completed within stipulated time.

The Minister was speaking at a meeting convened to review progress on all under execution hospital buildings including Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the Constituency.While taking stock of construction of Dadompora, Hanjura, Nowpora and Nilnag PHCs sanctioned under NABARD, he was informed that an amount of Rs 5.82 crore have been spent on them, so far. It was given out that out of these PHCs, three are completed while as the construction work on PHC Nilnag is in full swing.Mr. Hanjura asked the concerned to complete all the required work on these PHCs so that these are made functional for the benefit of people.  He said the State Government headed by Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide better healthcare facilities to people of all regions of the State.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on availability of ambulances, dentists, diagnostic facilities, other infrastructural requirements, besides utilization of funds in all health institutions of Charar-e-Sharif Constituency. The Minister directed the concerned for ensuring Supervisory Vehicle for Chari-e-Sharief Hospital.Earlier, he also reviewed the pace of work on shopping complex and beautification of Khankha in the town and asked the executing agencies to work with zeal.Secretary Health and Medical Education, Dr. M. K.  Bhandari, District Development Commissioner Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad, Managing Director JKPCC Dileep Thusoo, Chief Medical Officer Budgam, Executive Engineers, Deputy General Managers of J&K Housing Board, R & B and JKPCC, Block Medical Officers of Chadoora, Chari-e-Sarief and Nowgam were present in the meeting.
