Vijay Sampla takes on Capt. Amarinder Singh

Coming down heavily on former Punjab CM Capt. Amarinder Singh, Union minister and Punjab BJP chief, Vijay Sampla today said that the Congress leader was short of real issues and hence was resorting to political dramas. Sampla said that Capt. Amarinder was now taking help of a hired strategist to save his face. “Capt. Amarinder Singh tried sipping coffee, but it turned bitter. He tried to be in his constituency, but  failed again. Now he has turned to effigies and this won’t help him either. If he would have had really focused on the development of Punjab during his tenure, the Congress wouldn’t have suffered consecutive defeats”, he said.Sampla further said, “Congress and AAP are trying their best to hurt the interests of Punjab and they are spoiling the name of Punjabis. Burning Ravan’s effigies is a religious tradition but Congress is making fun of it. Despite being the deputy leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, Capt. Amarinder’s presence in the house was negligible and everybody knows how often he meets the people in his constituency.  Capt. Amarinder fears his third consecutive loss in assembly polls and that is why, instead of briefing the people of Punjab and Amritsar about the developmental work carried out by his government, he is trying to save his political existence by using effigies”.
