AAP condemns steep hike in the prices of petroleum products

Condemning the steep hike in the prices of petroleum products, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today termed it an exercise to rob the pocket of ‘commonman’ to benefit giant corporate houses.AAP Spokesman Sukhpal Khaira and Head of the Trade & Industry Wing of the party, Aman Arora said that during last seven months, seven times prices of fuel were increased to overburdened the already burdened people due to high rate of inflation. “The saffron party, which promised people of ‘Achche Din’ for coming into power, is indulged in committing fraud with the people by increasing prices of fuel every month”, they added.They said Akalis were equally responsible for price rise, as Akali Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal is also part of the Modi Cabinet, which has proved big failure to tackle the high rate of inflation.AAP leaders said that people of Punjab were the most sufferers due to any hike in fuel prices, as State Government was already recovering more taxes than other states due to high rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) on the petroleum products.
