Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday criticized Akali-BJP led Punjab government for turning blind eye to the demands of War Widows protesting outside the Chief Minister’s residence. Supporting the demand of War widows, head of Ex-Servicemen Wing AAP, Capt. Bikramjit Singh Pahuwindia said that Badal government is deceiving the families of war heroes who gave up their lives protecting our motherland.“What can be worst than families of war heroes staging a protest in front of Chief Minister’s residence to get their rights? The government is running away from its responsibility and trying to befool the war widows. The plan of government to pay 50 Lakhs rupee in lieu of 10 acre land in 3 installments of 20 lakh and then 15 lakh twice is not more than eyewash.” said Pahuwindia.“After the formation of AAP government in Punjab the family members of martyrs will be given Rs. 1 Crore grant-in-aid. AAP salutes the forces for their dedication and sacrifice.” said Pahuwindia.
