Special Reward for Police wards: Quality education for police wards focussed area: K. Rajendra Kumar

Director General of Police (DGP), K Rajendra Kumar, today said that quality education for the wards of police personnel has remained among the focused areas of Jammu and Kashmir Police. He said that in this regard special rewards and scholarships are provided to the meritorious wards to encourage and boost their morale.Mr. Rajendra was interacting with the wards of the police personnel after sanctioning scholarship over Rs. 10 lac in favour of 126 children. The wards include those who have qualified competitive examination conducted by BOPEE in the year 2016, besides those who have secured distinction in different classes.He said that the Organization has been providing scholarships to the meritorious  wards of serving police personnel and martyrs to encourage them and refine their talent in future studies. Such scholarships are given to the students from class 8th up to PG level and professional courses. Free coaching is also provided to such wards enabling them to compete at different levels to reshape their career, he added. DGP said that the enhanced duties of police personnel are affecting their responsibilities towards family as they remain engaged in professional duties round the clock. The Organisation has to take care of the wards of police martyrs and serving personnel and we are committed to provide succour in the form of financial assistance to these families. He said that besides, various welfare steps taken for the welfare of the families of police martyrs and the serving personnel, scholarships are provided to their wards so that they could continue their studies and excel in different fields of life.
