The students protesting against the government decision to hold their annual exams next month were on Sunday tear gassed by forces in Kani Pora area of South City.The students assembled at Kani Pora Railway Bridge and staged a peaceful sit-in.Reports said that protesting students carrying placards were chanting anti-government slogans.The students also condemned the killing of minor Junaid who was pelleted to death by forces in Saidapora area of Eidgah on Friday.Junaid Ahmad Akhoon, 12, sole son of his parents among four children was hit by pellets on Friday evening during the clashes in the area and succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning at SK Institute of Medical Sciences.The students said that the blood and Ink can’t flow together. “Despite killing, maiming people especially students, slapping PSA on students and arresting them, the government is asking us to appear in exams. The government by using such kind of tactics are putting the students career are stake,” they said.However, as protesting students denied to disperse off, forces resorted to teargas shelling to disperse them.Similar reports of protest were reported from several other districts.
