Inaugurate 5 foot bridges, Community Path completed under project Rahat

Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq Khan in presence of Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari today inaugurated 5 foot bridges completed under Project Rahat here at  Panchayat Pachote.The Foot bridges have been constructed in convergence with MGNREGA.The Ministers inaugurated Foot bridge near Bowli Suki, Vain W No- 5 , Narsoo, Foot bridge over Ancha Nallah, Kud-Nathatop, Foot bridge over Kutir Nallah, Pachote, Foot bridge over Jeli Nallah, Near M.S  Lower Kariah and Foot bridge near GHS Ghantwal. The bridges would facilitate movement of people residing in several dozens of villages and hamlets in the area.Speaking on the occasion, the RDD minister appreciated the district administration for constructing foot bridges which would help hassle free movement of 1282 students and   benefit more than 6000 people of adjoining panchayats.

He said that the Project Rahat is a innovative step which has not benefitted the school students but also facilitated timely supply of ration. “The most appreciable part of the project  is that it  provides employment to the local skilled and unskilled people” he added.The minister also inaugurated a Community path connecting Pachote village with the National Highway at Kud which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 4.5 lakh.Referring to the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada fortnightly cleanliness drive, being observed from October 1 to October 15 in state, the Minister directed RDD officials to organize series of activities to aware people about the campaign. He urged the people to cooperate with the district administration to achieve the  objective of clean and green surroundings in villages.The proceedings of the function were conducted by BDO Chenani, Dr. Shavi.  SDM Chenani Davinder Sharma presented vote of thanks on the occasion.ACD Joginder Rai, DPO Sandeep Seointra, field functionaries of RDD and a large number of people attended the inauguration functions.
