Union Ministers from Bihar interact with young IAS Officers posted as Assistant Secretaries in various Central Ministries

Union Ministers, Ram Vilas Paswan, Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Shri JP Nadda, and Shri Upendra Kushwaha today interacted with young IAS Officers from Bihar Cadre or having domicile of Bihar posted as Assistant Secretaries in various Central Ministries. The meeting was part of a series of meetings planned by the Government to brief young officers by the political leadership of the region about state specific development needs, aspirations of the people and ground realities. So that peoples aspirations can be accommodated in the decision making and working of the Government machinery at grassroot label. Addressing officers Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution said that young officer should be responsive to the needs of people. Decision making at the grassroot label should be fast as people want quick response from the administration on day today problems. He said welfare of the poor should be always kept in mind while taking decisions. 

Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Minister of Agriculture said that commitment of the people for the implementation of the schemes and programme has now increased, opening of Jan Dhan accounts in such a large number in a short period is the example of it. He said the Government has rolled out a number of schemes for the welfare of the people especially for rural areas, young officers can play crucial role to speed up implementation of these scheme and programmes. Addressing officers, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister of law and Information Technology said that country is changing fast under the leadership of Prime Minister. Aspirations of people have increased; the young officers can fullfill these with their hard work. He asked the officer to use digital means in the area of basic services like income certificate, cast certificate and land records etc.Shri J.P Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family welfare said that inclusion of stake holders in the implementation all policies and programmes should be kept in mind. Shri Upendra kushwaha, Minister of States or Human Resource Development said that the young officers must focus more in the arreas which are still far behind in development.
