Chairs security meets, holds Darbars with Jawans

Bhat, DIG CKR Srinagar paid a visit to Ladakh region where he chaired security review meetings, held Darbars and also inspected two Police Stations and Police posts.On the first day, DIG CKR visited district Leh where he chaired a security review meeting which was attended by SSP Leh, T. Gyalpo, SP CID Leh, GOs and NGOs of the district. T. Gyalpo, SSP Leh briefed the DIG regarding the security scenario of the border district. He highlighted the measures taken by the district for the successful conduct of various political, social and religious functions.Later in the evening the DIG held Darbar with Jawans in DPL Leh which was attended by all the officers of the district. The Jawans and officers put forth their grievances with regard to various issues. The DIG heard the jawans and ordered redressal of some of the grievances on the spot. He assured that the issues highlighted will be looked into and redressed on merits. The DIG also paid a visit to P/S Khalsi and conducted causal inspection of the P/S. He checked the records and reviewed the crime situation of the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station. A thorough inspection was conducted of all the barracks as also the Langar and on spot directions given to the officers for improvement in Mess facility. The Jawans put forth some problems to which the DIG assured will be looked into compassionately.

On the second day, the DIG visited district Kargil and chaired a security review meeting with SSP Kargil, Rahul Malik, Dy. SP (Hqrs), Dy. SP DAR Kargil and other officers. He also received a feedback report about the present security scenario of the district particularly of the border area. The DIG held Darbar with Jawans in DPL Kargil which was attended by all the officers of the district. He assured that the grievances put forth will be looked into and redressed on merits. The DIG also paid a visit to P/S Drass and conducted causal inspection of the P/S. He checked the records and reviewed the crime situation of the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station. Necessary steps were taken on spot to resolve main problems being faced by the officers and men of the police stations. The officers and men were advised to put up their best and see that the problems of general public are attended to and there is a complete synergy between police and public and army in border areas.
