DDC Kathua convenes public grievances redressal camps at Machhedi, Badhnota

With an aim to redress the grievances of the people, District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar held an extensive tour of remote tehsil Lohai Malhar and held public grievances camps at Machhedi and Badhnota.During the camps people presented various issues and demands regarding the supply of drinking water, electricity and ration besides the issue of road connectivity. DDC passed directions to the concerned departments for quick resolutions of the issues in a time bound manner.Later, DDC reviewed the progress of ongoing works on various  roads under PMGSY. He was accompanied by Chief Engineer PMGSY, Hamid Sheikh, Superintendent Engineer PMGSY Jammu, S.R Dogra and Executive Engineer PMGSY Billawar, Pawan Kumar Bhagat.DDC passed on spot directions to the officers of PMGSY to speed up the work of 34 km Machhedi- Drabbar road with proper alignment and drainage system, besides ensuring quality of the work  by adhering to the parameters laid down for the purpose. DDC also directed officers to immediately initiate  the work on Dhar- Karkhana and Malhar-Marhoon roads sanctioned under PMGSY and complete it within stipulated time Chief Engineer apprised the DDC that 28km of the Machhedi-Drabbar road has been completed so far and work on 6th phase is under progress.During his tour, DDC also inspected various schools and healthcare centres.   He instructed CMO Kathua to depute local staff at health centres for ensuring round the clock functioning of these centres.
