Deputy Commissioner visits camps in Nowshera sector

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Bhat today visited the camps setup in Nowshera sector to take stock of the arrangements put in place at these camps for the people evicted from villages near the line of control in wake of the ceasefire violations.Deputy Commissioner visited the camps set up in High School Potha, High School Nonial, Middle School Bowli and Higher Secondary School Nowshera.Deputy Commissioner assured the people of border areas that all necessary arrangements have been put in place at the camps setup for their safety .SDM Nowshera Harbans Lal while apprising the Deputy Commissioner said that four camps are functional in High School Potha, Higher Secondary School Nowshera ,High School Nonial and Middle School Bowli with adequate arrangements where  people evacuated  from village Kalsian, Sherbakri and  Kalalkhori are putting up.  “Place for additional camps have been identified in case requirement crops up”, he informed.

Deputy Commissioner stressed on close coordination among all concerned departments so that people are provided with all basic facilities at the camps. Deputy Commissioner asked the camp officers to remain present at the camps and ensure availability of ration, power supply, drinking water, security and sanitation. Senior Superintendent of Police Fareed  Mir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mumtaz Choudhary, Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD  besides all other district officers accompanied the  Deputy Commissioner during the visit .
