AHD conducts Artificial insemination in Doda

Animal Husbandry department Doda today conducted an artificial insemination camp under the chairmanship of Chief Animal Husbandry officer Dr Tariq Parvaiz.A large number of veterinary doctors, departmental staff besides people from different villages of the district participated in the event.In the programme, Artificial insemination was done by adaptation of estrous synchronization protocol. Large number of Indigenous and non-descript cows were covered under the programme in the district.Farmers gathered in the event evinced great interest and thanked the department for introducing programme to benefit the small marginal farmers having indigenous and non-descript cows.Resource persons from the department briefed the public about various benefits of artificial insemination which include having the desired characters in their animals besides upgradation of their cows with consequent increase in milk production.
