Doda Edu Deptt celebrates Kala Utsav festival

The Education departments today organised a District level function here at Govt Higher Secondary school Boys Doda to celebrate Kala Utsav.The celebrations included various competitions in which students from 12 schools took part.Deputy Commissioner Doda Mr Bhupinder Kumar was chief guest.SSP Doda Mr Zahid Manhas, Col. 10 RR Uphadhayay, CEO Doda Mr Ashraf Rather were also present in the programme which was held under the overall supervision of Principal HSS boys Doda Mr Tanveer Wani.The programme was assisted by members of cultural cell Doda Mr Om Prakash, Mr Naseem ul Haq and  Teaching and non teaching of participating schools.The competition was held in five different categories including dance, singing, painting, craft and theatre.Alina Suhrawardy of Govt Girls HSS Doda bagged the first position in painting competition, while Yawar Ahmed of Boys HSS Doda was declared winner in crafts.Under dance category HSS Boys Bhaderwah emerged as the winner whereas in singing competition HSS girls Doda bagged the first position.The first prize under theatre category was bagged by   HSS Bhagwah. All the winners were awarded with the trophies by the administration.Speaking on the occasion, the DDC congratulated the Chief education officer and  his team for organising such a beautiful competition and giving the participants a platform to show their talent.
