Says won’t sit in exams until Kashmir issue is resolved

Protests by students continued on Monday in Srinagar, demanding justice to those students who were maimed and blinded in forces action during the current uprising in the Valley. According to KNS correspondent, the students assembled in Baba Demb area of Srinagar. They were holding placards displaying, ‘Blood and ink cannot flow together’ and were also raising slogans against the government.The protesting students accused the state education ministry acting “as blind to the situation” and asked it to bring back the eye sight of those students first who are unable to read and write now.They said that they will not sit in exams until the Kashmir issue is resolved. “We will not appear in tests without our friends who have been rendered blind by the government forces,” they said.The protesters later dispersed peacefully.
