Punjab Transport department bags prize for Automated Driving Training Centers

Punjab Transport department has been honored with a national-level prize for providing excellent services through its Automated Driving Test Online Licensing and Training Centers. In the 45thconference of the Scotch Smart Service held recently in Hyderabad, the department was presented the Scotch Order of Merit award.It is pertinent to mention that the credit for this award goes to ADTO posted at the headquarters, Simran Singh Sara, who not only had prepared the blueprint of the program but had executed it to perfection too.Elated over the accomplishment, Sara said, “This project was started so that the people get their driving licenses without any hassles and it has been really successful. When Scotch Smart Service- a body engaged in qualitative analysis of services being provided in India- was told about the project, it chose the entire state transport department for the award instead of the project alone.”Sara personally flew to Hyderabad and collected the award on behalf of the department.
