Kavinder Gupta for inculcating Gandhian principles

"There is a need to revive and strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity and inculcate the Gandhian principles in our lives".This was stressed by Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today while speaking at a function organized to pay  tributes to the Father of the Nation  Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri at Satwari Chowk.Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Choudhary Lal Singh, Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma, SDM, Sonu Pargal and officers of Municipal Corporation were also present on the occasion.Kavinder Gupta recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s contributions for the freedom and ‘Swachhata’ of the country. 

He said the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' envisioned by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi would be instrumental in promoting the hygiene and also the importance of having clean environment and surroundings.He further said that Mahatma Gandhi throughout his life worked for amity and brotherhood among all sections of the society and fought for the upliftment of weaker and under priviliged.Kavinder Gupta also went to the Lala Hans Raj Mahajan Park and paid floral tributes to Sher-e-Duggar and exhorted upon the people to follow the footprints of the great social reformer of the state.Later the speaker inaugurated a free joint replacement consultation camp organized by Rotary Club Jammu in collaboration with the Shalby Hospitals at  Alexender Memorial School.Among others who were present on the occasion include MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta, Principal of the School, Asther William, team of doctors and staff and students of the School.
