Molvi Imran Raza Ansari reviews development scenario, Muharram arrangements in Baramulla

Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari on Sunday chaired a meeting of district officers of Baramulla District to review the status of developmental projects and arrangements to be made for ensuing Muharram.The Minister directed the concerned for accelerating the pace of work on the developmental projects ensuring their timely completion adhering to specifications and quality of work. He asked the concerned for making all necessary arrangements for forthcoming Muharram. He also directed the concerned for timely distribution of additional quota of sugar on Muharram.   Giving brief account of the developmental activities being carried out under various sectors in district, District Development Commissioner, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash informed about the to-date status of developmental projects and welfare schemes proposed under District plan during the current fiscal. 

He said that work on developmental projects has been resumed with focus attention of their timely completion.The pace of work on PHE and R&B projects was also reviewed during the meeting in which it was informed that  the work on Water Supply Scheme Rambail Chinar Gund and Sultanpora Filtration Plant will be completed within one month.Taking review of arrangements to be put in place for ensuing Muharram-ul-Harram, the meeting was informed that all arrangements with regard to water and power supply, installation of street lights and gen-sets, distribution of ration particularly in Shia dominated areas has been made. The meeting was informed that adequate medical staff with ambulances and life saving drugs would be available during the Muharram days.Among others, district, Sub-Divisional and sectoral officers of line departments attended the meeting.
