Capt Amarinder takes objection to Bhattal’s statement

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh has taken serious objection to the statement of the former Chief Minister Ms Rajinder Kaur Bhattal in Jallandhar on Sunday questioning various party decisions of which she was very part and parcel.In a statement issued here today, Capt Amarinder said, Ms Bhattal should avoid making such statements in public or in media. He said, if she has really any opinion about the functioning of the party, she should better give it to the party high command particularly the Congress President Ms Sonia Gandhi.The PCC President maintained that the party high command has strictly asked all the leaders not to air their personal opinions about the party functioning in public and a senior leader like Ms Bhattal should better follow the party discipline and the guidelines lest it leads to confusion in the party rank and file.Capt Amarinder said, Ms Bhattal has been party to everything, whether it was the election campaign of the distribution of tickets. He said, it was surprising as how could she say it was the wrong distribution of tickets when she was part and parcel of the ticket distribution process and the campaigning in the state.
