Child rights Commission conducted inspection of various school vehicles at Dera Bassi

2 buses found unsafe impound at police station and 6 buses challaned , Commission will ensure strict implementation of Safe School Vahan Scheme

In adherence to directions of Hon'ble Punjab & Haryana High Court, the Committee formed by Punjab Protection of child rights Commission conducted surprise inspection of various school vehicles at Dera Bassi. The surprise checking was conducted by Committee member Deputy Director Secondary Education Sh. Amrish Kumar Shukla,M.V.I.Sh. Ranpreet Singh Bheora, ADTO Sh. Simran Singh Saran, ADTO (HQ) Surinder singh, Traffic Police officials & Non- Govt. member of commission District President Istri Akali Dal (Urban) Bibi Kuldeep Kaur Kang. During the surprise checking driving licence of the concerned drivers were also checked.

Under the Safe School Vahan Scheme 70 vehicles of various schools of Dera Bassi were inspected. Out of which two school buses of Sukhmani School Dera Bassi & New Angel Public School were got impounded at Police Station due to improper documents and 6 other buses were challaned. All committee members also conducted meeting with the school management and directed them to ensure proper documentation of vehicles at the earliest. Committee also visited Sukhmani School, New Angel Public School, Bharti Public School Dera Bassi, DAV Public School, Gurukul School & Buddha Dal Public School Zirakpur (Lohgarh) and conducted checking of vehicles at there.
