AAP condemns State Government for denying dues to employees and pensioners

Accusing Badal Government for its complete failure on financial management of the state, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today supported the genuine demands of state government employees and pensioners, who were denied their legitimate dues.Releasing a statement here State Secretary Gulshan Chhabra and Head of the Administrative and Grievances Redressal Cell of the party, Jasbir Singh Bir (Retd. IAS) today said that Badal Government has virtually imposed an undeclared financial emergency in the state due to which legitimate dues of more than seven lakh employees and pensioners were denied their dues directly or indirectly.AAP leaders said that prevailing financial condition of the state was too bad, which could be evident from the fact that state government employees were denied their medical bill, General Provident Fund (GPF) and even retirement benefits.  They claimed that such fiscal condition in the state is prevailing since July 15 and there was no hope for improvement in the fiscal health in the near future.

One can take note of the situation of worst fiscal health of the state from the fact that government employees and pensioners were waiting instalments of Dearness Allowance (DA) of the year 2014 and even the 6% increase in the DA, which was announced in January 2016 was yet to be given.While expressing concern over the poor plight of employees & pensioners, AAP today assured them once voted to power in 2017,  AAP Government would give the dues to employees & pension on priority.
