DC Srinagar reviews arrangements for Muharram-ul-Harram

Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar  Dr. Farooq Lone today chaired a meeting of officers held here to review the arrangements made by various Departments for ensuing Muharram-Ul-Harram commencing  from October 3, 2016.Besides MLA, Batmaloo, the meeting was attended by the Senior Officers of PDD, PHE, SMC, Police, SAPD, Traffic, CMO, Fire and Emergency Services, RTO, JKSRTC, Legal Metrology, Forest Department and all Tehsildars of District Srinagar.The concerned authorities were directed to provide  uninterrupted power and water supply, beside availability of healthcare facilities, sanitation, fire wood, essential commodities, security and transport facilities.Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar directed  to make sure that the  arrangements pertaining to their Departments are put in place well  before the Muharram-Ul-Harram. Sub Divisional Magistrate ( East), ( Cell NO: 9419009472), Srinagar has been appointed as nodal officer, who will visit Shia dominated areas along with concerned officers to ensure that the necessary arrangements are put in place.
