Deputy Commissioner Doda Mr Bhupinder Kumar today asked the government functionaries to gear up for quick redressal of public grievances and effective implementation of Govt schemes for welfare and overall development of the district.The DC said this during his visit to the remote areas of Bajarni- Sazaan-Lal Draman. The DC along with a team of district administration conducted an extensive tour of the area to inspect the progress on developmental works, availability of basic amenities to the people and to take firsthand stock of public grievances.A   public redressal grievance camp was also held at village Bajarani.  The DC   listened to the grievances put forth by the public which mainly related to power supply scenario,   drinking water, condition of roads connecting the area, delay in payment of land compensation, ration supply , dearth of staff in schools, health sector besides other issues.Responding to the demands, the DC assured the gathering that necessary work to maintain the condition of roads will be taken up on priority and passed directions to the concerned department in this regard. Regarding the issue of health sector, schools etc, he assured to fill vacant posts in schools and health centres by taking the matter with concerned quarters.

The DC further directed the officers of district administration to work with utmost dedication and sincerity so that the benefits of Govt. schemes percolate down to the society. He asked them to be quick in redressing the grievance of the public as well as providing service to the needy at their doorstep without any delay.The DC also informed the public that the administration is framing a plan for development of Lal Draman-Sazzan area into a major tourist destination. This will help in tapping the tourism potential of the district and boost economic activities in the area, he added.

Additional SP, Tehsildar, DFO, Officers from PHE, PDD, R&B department besides others accompanied the DDC during the  day long tour.
