Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh participated in the 350th Birth Anniversary celebrations “ Prakashparv” of Guru Gobind Singh ji, at historical Ridge today. The two days event was organised by Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Shimla in collaboration with the State Government.Shri Virbhadra Singh said that teachings of Shri Guru Gobind Singh were all the more relevant in present times and we should follow them to enrich our lives and promoting peace and harmony in the society. He said that Guru Gobind Singh ji has inspired him also as Guruji was a great warrior who protected people and fought for the unity and integrity of the country.  He showed path to humanity and strengthened Sikh religion. He added that Sikh brethren have contributed immensely towards the development of the country through their distinguished services and had also established their presence world over.Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh was a secular State which provides opportunity to people of all religions to grow equally and added that people of all faiths were living in harmony in the State. He said that State was a model of peaceful coexistence.

He said that he would make best efforts to look into the demands of the Shiromani  Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Himachal Pradesh.Shri Daljeet Singh Bhinder, Member SGPC HP welcomed the Chief Minster and apprised him of their demands.Ms Bismeet Kaur spoke about the life and achievements of Guru Gobind Singh ji.Earlier, the members of Guru Singh Sabha including President Shri Jasvinder Singh, Vice President Shri Janak Singh, General Secretary Shri Sewa Singh and Organizing Secretary Shri Kawaljeet Singh welcomed the Chief Minister on his arrival at Ridge.Shri I. D. Lakhanpal Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Shri Daljeet Singh Cheema Education Minister Punjab Government, Shri Anirudh Singh MLA Kusumpati Constituency, Shri Vikramaditya Singh President State Youth Congress, Bawa Hardeep Singh Chairman HP Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Shri Harish Janartha Vice Chairman HPTDC, Jagtar Singh ji Head Granthi Darbar Sahib, Councilors, Members and office bearers of SGPC and a large number of people participated in the event.
