“3 brigades comprising 12000 soldiers have been sent to South and North Kashmir were already 8 lakhs troopers are deployed,” he said, adding more security in civilians areas will have serious repercussions in the form of grave human rights violations, custodial killings, disappearances and could escalate the situation further. Oft repeated drama of demilitarization by PDP has turned out to be militarization of entire Kashmir valley where ratio of armed forces is now 5 civilian 1. He also condemned the arrest spree and harassment of respectable citizens of society including Imamas, Khateebs, innocent youths and other senior citizens. Veeri said that the ruling PDP has resorted to political vendetta by framing activists of National Conference and Jammat-e-Islami in baseless cases.Veeri said that with the courtesy of present Government the infamous days of Qadir Ganderbalib are back in the valley. Demanding early peaceful and lasting solution to Kashmir dispute, he said that Pakistan is an important stakeholder in Kashmir dispute and India must initiate a meaningful dialogue with Pakistan and all other stake holders including Hurriyat Conference.
