Shemrock School Sector-69 celebrated Grandparents Day at its campus show their love and affection to their Grandparents, where students and their maternal and paternal parents made their presence felt by mixing up with students. The main Motive of this program was to show warmth to their grandparents.A cultural program was also presented at the moment, which was commenced by a welcome song for the Grandparents to show gratitude towards Grandparents. Students  danced on the tunes of different songs like ‘Grandpa darling, grandma darling I love you’ ; ‘muchh wale dada golmol daadi’ ; ‘naani teri morni ko mor le gaye’;  ‘dadi amma dadi amma maan jao’ (action song); Bhangra dance ; Gidhdha dance etc. Children also showed their love while speaking about this special day. Many games like musical chair, balloon balance  , passing the parcel were organised for the grandparents which were centre attraction of the function.Director Education Air Commodore (Rtd.) S K Sharma said that what children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance, they give unconditional love, patience, comfort and lessons in life. Lucky ones get chance to stay with their grandparents, He further added. He appreciated the efforts of the staff and students.
