The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today visited village muhava to share grief of the bereaved families of 7 school children killed in a recent road accident at village muhava. He met the bereaved families and deeply condoled with them. He also announced Rs. 20 lakh to set up a stadium in the village in the memory of deceased children and disclosed that a memorial in the memory of the children would also be constructed. The Deputy Chief Minister also announced the upgradation of the village school to senior secondary school status.On the occasion, S. Badal instructed the Public Works department to construct a cemented fence through increasing the width by one and a half feet each by breaking the railing around the bridge causing accident and all the other such bridges. He also gave instructions to the district administration to send the name of child Karanbir Singh who saved the lives of many children for the National award.On the occasion MLA and Cabinet Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike, Harkanwalpreet Singh Khakk, SSP (Rural) Rajesh Sharma, SDM Gurinderpal Singh Laali Ranike and others were also present.
