Carrying forward the strategy to strengthen the dairy farming in the state, the Punjab Government has organized series of awareness camps to uplift the social and economical status of the cattle rearers. The main objective of these camps is to impart quality training and education to the dairy farmers besides suggesting them to adopt lucrative marketing techniques.Disclosing this here today Animal Husbandry Minister Punjab  Gulzar Singh Ranike said that the series of such camps have brought immense revolution in the field of dairy farming. He said that during the current financial year 10,122 dairy farmers have been imparted quality guidance in which they were given special scientific training regarding the animals and their health.

The Minister further said that the State Government in order to ensure the services related to the dairy development in the remote areas, 400 camps were being organized out of which 102 camps have already been organized in which 8231 milk producers were given professional training.Giving further details Mr. Inderjit Singh Director Dairy Development said that the Punjab government has initiated various projects and schemes to educate and encourage the cattle rearers to adopt dairy farming as a profitable business. He said that as per the requirement of the area, the government was laying special emphasis on motivating and educating the youth in remote areas. He said that more such camps would be organized because the ongoing camps had received tremendous response from across the state.
