Kaniyar to get CFC soon : Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura

Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said that a Common Facilitation Centre (CFC) would be established at village Kaniyar in Charar-i-Sharief with all modern facilities at an amount of Rs 50 lakh.Chairing a meeting of officers here today to review the pace of progress on ongoing works taken under Rural Development Department (RDD) in Charar-i-Sharief Constituency, the Minister directed the concerned to take steps to start the construction on CFC at village Kaniyar immediately. Secretary, RDD Mr. Khursheed Ahmed Shah and District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmed briefed the meeting about the pace of progress of all ongoing works taken under different programmes and schemes of RDD in Charar-i-Sharief Constituency.The Minister directed the RDD officers to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing developmental works and complete them in a stipulated time frame, saying that there should not be compromise on quality of work.Directing the concerned to identify the works of public importance and prioritize them, the Minister said that the flood protection works should be taken up in such a way that maximum villages and agriculture land be protected from any damage of floods.

Taking review of pace of progress on Panchayat Ghars, Mr. Hanjura directed the Assistant Commissioner Development Budgam to release payments to the concerned to ensure timely completion of on-going works.The meeting was informed that under Flood Protection works, six spots were identified for construction of protection bunds. The meeting was informed that the work on 60 Panchayat Ghars was taken up in Constituency, of which 43 have been completed. The repair and renovation of nine Panchayat buildings is apace in Charar-i-Sharief Constituency, the meeting was informed.Under Watershed Programme almost 80 percent works including development of springs, construction of irrigation khuls and check dams have been completed, the meeting was informed.Discussing UMEED and Himayat Programme it was informed that about Rs 1600 crore have been approved for next 3 years under Himayat programme and expected to be launched in October this year.Director, RDD, Kashmir, Mr. Gazanfar Ali and other Officers of RDD department were present in the meeting.
