DDC Kupwara reviews works under PMKSY

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara today convened a joint meeting of officers of different Departments associated with providing irrigation facilities to the farming community of the district.The meeting was held with regard to identification of clusters under ‘Per Drop More Crop’ component of Prime Minister’s Krishi Sinchayi Yojna (PMKSY). The purpose of the scheme is to ensure effective utilisation of available water properly to ensure more production.It was given out that 1100 hectares of land is being taken up under the said scheme in the district.On the occasion, the District Development Commissioner impressed upon the concerned officers to submit the proposals and issues with regard to identification of clusters of irrigated and non irrigated land in their areas at an earliest.CPO Kupwara, Engineers of different sectors and concerned officers attended the meeting.
