The Trade and Transport Wing Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday condemned the frequent raids of Income tax department on trade & industry. Criticizing the action, Head of the wing, Aman Arora said that this shows the frustration of Prime Minister Narindra Modi after his failure to bring the claimed black money from foreign countries of Indian Politicians.Arora said that AAP strongly condemns the revengeful statement of Modi giving a threat to Traders & Industrialists to deposit the tax or he won’t allow anyone to sleep peacefully after 30th of September. Such statement by the Prime Minister is undesirable. The officers of Income Tax department with the support of Prime Minister Office are threatening the Trade & Industry and numbers of raids are conducted by them every day.

Arora said that this is giving a good time to the corrupt officers to get undue benefit of this situation. The country due to the anti-people policies of Modi is passing through the worst economic meltdown. India’s Industrial production is dipping down swiftly with a decrease of 2.4% in July 2016. India’s exports are also coming down with an average of 20% whereas imports are increasing manifolds. The targets of the Income Tax department are short due to the major recession due to the policies of the government but they are blaming the trade and industry for the same.Under such circumstances, the behaviour like this with trade and industry is intolerable.Arora said that AAP will support the hardworking traders and industrialists of Punjab and in case the department tried to threat any innocent trader of Industrialists the Party will start protests on roads.
