Dy Chairman, LC meets protesting teachers in Poonch

Deputy Chairman J&K Legislative Council Jahangir Hussain Mir today met the protesting teachers to take first hand appraisal of their demands and problemsThe teachers apprised Mr Mir with their grievances related to transfers and postings.The Deputy Chairman asked them not to prolong their protest as it is causing great loss to the studies of the innocent children and assured to take up their issue with the concerned authorities.He also took up the matter with Minister of State for Education Priya Sethi and apprised her with the demands of the teachers. He directed Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Haroon Malik to hold a meeting with the officers of education department to sort out the issue at an earliest.
