Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday launched a logo, having a replica of 'Gita Sandesh' on it, for the year-long Haryana Swarna Jayanti (golden jubilee) celebrations starting November 1.The function was organised at Kingdom of Dreams in Sector 29 here.Apart from the Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues, party MLAs, Chief Secretary D.S. Dhesi and convener of Haryana Swarna Jayanti committee Rajiv Sharma were also present.Haryana Swarna Jayanti celebrations are scheduled to be held from November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017. The state government has planned to take out a Rath Yatra.It will comprise of five tableaux depicting art, culture, heritage, history, progress and development of the state. The procession will pass through all districts and villages or towns located on the route between district headquarters.Apart from this, the event will project Haryana as one of the states which has contributed to the progress of the country.

Khattar said a team of 140 officials has been constituted for the celebrations, and a high-level meeting on plans for the year-long celebrations will be held in Chandigarh next week.The state government has also planned to invite leaders of industry, sportspersons, actors, freedom fighters and other renowned personalities during the event, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 1 in Gurgaon.The concept for the logo was prepared by Khattar himself.The logo comprises a white conch shell against a golden backdrop, with embossed images of lord Krishna's Gita Sermon, an arrow and the number 50 encompassing the map of Haryana. The collage of images captures the essence of Haryana society, culture and ethos and symbolises the spirit of celebration of the Swarna Jayanti.The tag line of the logo is Badalta Haryana-Badhta Haryana (Transforming Haryana-Progressing Haryana).
