Two days Engineer’s Day concluded at CGC Jhanjeri celebrates Engineer’s Day

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri celebrated Engineer’s Day on 15th & 16th of Sep. The function started with rich tributes paid by Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC to the Bharat Ratna awardee Sir Visvesarya the architect of various prestigious civil engineering works in India & abroad. Tapash Kumar Chandra, Director ETE Electogears was the chief guest. More than 3000 students from different colleges of Punjab participated in various technical, cultural & non-technical events organized during the function. Some of the technical events which attracted huge response from the students included Projects made by engineering students, Robo War, Robo Race, Mr. Google, Tech Hunt, Circuit Designing, Matlab Programming Challenge, Web page designing and Innovative Design.

Workshops on CATIA, AutoCad Design, Staad Pro & Ethical hacking were also organized in which experts gave practical experience to the participants and answered various queries of the budding engineers. Other events included construction crane, Logo mania, Slump it, Quiz, Tower Power, Sketch it, Collage making, Dry Floral arrangement, Rangoli, Junk to funk, Mehndi, Gaming, Cartooning, Just a minute, Poster making and photography. In the paper presentation contest students spoke on various technical & other current topics.Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said that CGC lays full emphasis on developing overall personality of its students. For this students having innovative ideas are given full financial and moral support by the management to put their ideas into practice. The students having hidden talent in them are encouraged to participate in various cultural & other activities so that their talent gets honed.
