Denying a reality never changes that reality if killing 90 innocents by bullets, shells, beatings and pellets, injuring about 15000 thousand people and snatching eyesight of hundreds, imposition of curfew even on Eid day and denying millions of Muslims a chance to pray and sacrifice according to their religious commands does not account to human rights violations and interference in religious affairs then what is the criteria set out by India for human rights in Jammu Kashmir? Indian refusal to accept UN appeals on human rights of Kashmiris illogical and absurd. This was stated by the chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who continues to remain in custody from 8th July 2016 along with other JKLF leaders Noor Muhammad and Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, in a message sent out from incarceration today. In a statement issued to KNS, terming the clamping of strict curfew on Eid ul Azha day and choking every means of communication, killing four innocent person on Eid days and injuring hundreds of others as new model of oppression created and executed by PDP/BJP alliance.

Yasin Malik said that Kashmiri have witnessed worst type of Indian oppression during 70 years of Indian illegal occupation of Jammu Kashmir but the callous and shameless behavior of present rulers, who instead of showing some regret for their crimes against humanity shamelessly defend these acts by fabricating different excuses, is not only unimaginable but inhuman too .Terming the refusal of India to accept UN pleas about humans rights of Kashmiris as absurd and illogical.Malik said that India has been repeatedly rubbishing UN human rights commissions’ appeals to honor human rights of Kashmiris and is depicting as if nothing is happening in Kashmir. He asked that if killing about 90 innocent civilians, injuring more than 15000 men, women, children and elderly, snatching eyesight of more than 600 innocents, clamping curfew for 68 days, curbing people from offering Eid prayers and Sacrifices in accordance to their religious guidelines, beating hundreds of men women and children and some of them even to death, vandalizing residential houses, private vehicles and business establishments , arresting thousands of young students and other oppressive acts of Indian army, forces, police and agencies doesn’t account to any human rights violation then what is the new criteria set out by India, which claims to be the world’s largest democracy, for Human rights of humans living in Jammu Kashmir.

He said that historical curfew on Eid day and ban on Eid Nimaz across J&K including at Dargah Hazratbal has become reference point of Indian oppression in Jammu Kashmir and it is a big stigma on PDP led coalition whose leaders shamelessly are trying to defend their government’s criminal act by fabricating different kind of justifications and excuses. Yasin Malik said that the resilience and steadfastness of Kashmiris striving for their freedom has frustrated these so-called leaders and their governments and these people have lost every moral and human authority to show their faces even. While condemning the ongoing oppression, nocturnal raids, arrests, slapping PSA and other black laws on innocent students and young boys and shifting them to outside jails on the occasion of Eid. Yasin Malik said that authorities have made the lives of thousands of political activists and youth in Jammu Kashmir hell by terrorizing them, their families and by arresting fathers in place of their sons and sons in place of their fathers and at many places asking for ransom for their release. Yasin Malik also condemned the nocturnal raids on the houses of JKLF deputy chief organizer Mir Siraj ud din, Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, JKLF district president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) and others and said that terrorizing these peaceful political activists will yield rulers nothing but shame. While paying rich tributes to martyrs who embraced martyrdom on the days of Eid, JKLF incarcerated chairman said that the sacred blood spilled on the streets, pastures, roads, fields and other places of Jammu Kashmir will never go in vain and Kashmiris will surely get freedom from illegal occupation soon.
