Punjab Governor Flags Off Free Mobile Diagnositic Van

The Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, V.P. Singh Badnore, today flagged off free Mobile Diagnostic Van at Indira Holiday Home Chandigarh, which was given by Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Center labour department UT Chandigarh to collect samples. Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that though urban areas have better government and private health facilities, the urban poor in living in slums and colonies were unable to avail them due to high cost and lack of assistance to access these health care facilities.He said that this Mobile Van would collect blood samples from colonies and slum areas and do their clinical test free of cost. He was happy to see the Mobile Van well equipped with all necessary test kits. Earlier he drove the Van to make it mobile to start bringing blood samples.Showing keen interest in this Charitable Diagnostic Center, the Governor visited each and every wing of the Center and said that the Bharat Vikas Parishad is doing a very noble duty to provide better health services to the people of Chandigarh and adjoining areas at affordable rates.Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Mr. Ajit Balaji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, UT, Chandigarh, Dr. K.L. Passi, President, MR. K.M.S. Nambiar, Secretary, Mr. Ajay Dutta, National Secretary General Bharat Vikas Parishad and Mr. Anil Kaushik, Trustee.
