As the government forces ransacked residential houses, pulled out loudspeakers from local mask ,thrashed people and finally used pellets to foil a pro freedom rally at Markunadal Eidgah in Sonwari area, the senior National leader and MLA Sonawari Mohammad Akbar Lone, also former Speaker Assembly and a former minister said one resident Ab Rashid Dar alias Bita S/O Bashir Ahmad Dar hit by pellets has got blinded by one eye and another local Irfan Dar S/O Habibullah Dar has been hit by pellet in the nose.When contacted Mohd Akbar Lone told KNS “The pro freedom rally was called by joint resistance leadership at Markundal Eidgah and minutes before the crowds from adjoining Naidkhai,Goshbugh, Baharabad,Vijpara,Shahgund and Gundiboon started moving into Eidgah, huge contingent of CRPF and army led by local police swooped into actions, thrashed people and finally used pellets and tear smokeshells to foil the pro freedom rally”. 

Saying that even the loudspeakers of the local Markundal mask was pulled out by the forces, Lone said “Forces barged into houses and thrashed people including children and women. They (forces) finaly used pellets to restrict the people from moving to Eidgah Markunal. The clashes broke out in the area and two of the ten people injured in the clashes were shifted toSMHS Hospital Srinagar for specialized treatment”. Saying that pellet has blinded by one eye Ab Rashid Dar alias Bita S/O Bashir Ahmad Dar by one eye Lone said another injured Irfan Dar S/O Habibullah has beenhit by pellet in the nose. Alleging that the local police are randomly harassing and beating people in night raids Lone asked the government to desist from continuing disproportionate use of force on peaceful protests and warned it of serious consequences if the government does not stop brutalizing people in protest rallies and killing civilians by pellets and bullets.
