Sukhbir Singh Badal gives a clarion call to crushingly defeat extremist elements out to grab power

Distributes developmental grants worth crores to 2 dozen villages during sangat darshan at Jalalabad

The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today said that an atmosphere of peace and communal harmony prevails in Punjab due to the persistent efforts of the SAD-BJP government and the state is writing new success stories with each passing day which makes it important to give SAD-BJP government a hattrick chance so as to continue unabated this development journey.Interacting with media-persons at village Gumaniwala during sangat darshan of Jalalabad constituency, S. Badal gave a clarion call to crushingly defeat those extremist elements in the upcoming assembly elections who have gathered with the sole intent of grabbing power in the state. He also exhorted the people to outrightly reject the call given by the United Akali Dal in its convention to fight elections on a common front because the extremist forces are out to again play havoc with the peaceful atmosphere in Punjab.Castigating Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Deputy Chief Minister said that Arvind Kejriwal is suffering from confrontationist nature who has nothing at all to do with the welfare and progress of Punjab. 

The Deputy Chief Minister further disclosed that Arvind Kejriwal has a hidden agenda of capturing power in Punjab and use the state to keep the pot of squabbles with the Union Government  burning in order to prop himself up on the national political scene. The Deputy Chief Minister also said that the people should not repeat the mistake of voting for AAP as they did in Lok Sabha polls as the AAP on assuming power would take Punjab from development to anarchy where neither the wheat and paddy would be lifted nor the farmers would get payments. Calling AAP a bunch of atheists, S. Badal revealed that these people are completely ignorant about the culture of Punjab as well as the sentiments and aspirations of its people.Taking the attack also into the Congress ranks, S. Badal said that Captain Amarinder Singh did nothing worthwhile during his 5 year tenure as Chief Minister from 2002-2007 and cannot list even a single measure of developmental nature. The Deputy Chief Minister said that only SAD represents the Punjabis the world over in true form with the era of development and prosperity being ushered only when SAD-BJP government has assumed command of the state under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister S. Parkash Singh Badal.

Exhorting the people to hand out historic drubbing to the congress & AAP in the coming assembly polls , the Deputy Chief Minister divulged that during the previous 9 years the SAD-BJP government has transformed the state through welfare and progress centric schemes like Shagan scheme, Pension scheme, Atta-Dal scheme, Free bicycles for the school girls, Free power to farming sector, Free power worth 200 units to the SC/BC families, Sewing machines to the women, Establishment of skill centers, Disbursal of sports and gyms, Sewerage & clean drinking water to the 160 cities, Establishing sewa kendars, Dharamshalas in villages, Surplus power besides excellent road network.On the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister distributed development oriented grants worth crores to a dozen villages including village Tiwana Kalan, Gumaniwala, Chakk Panniwala, Bare Kalan, Chakk Lamochar. He also inaugurated a slew of new projects besides redressing the grievances of the masses at the spot itself. He also disclosed that the state government is paying special attention to the overall development of border regions.Among others present on the occasion were Senior SAD leader Satinderjit Singh Manta, Special Principal Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister- Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia, SSP Narinder Bhargav, District President SAD Gurpal Singh Grewal, District President BJP and Vice-Chairman Punjab Agro Ashok Aneja, Prem Valecha, Lakhwinder Rouniwala, Darshan Wadhwa, Sweetoo Bajaj, Gurpreet Singh, Devinder Babbal and Laadi Dhawan.
