Deputy Commissioner finalises arrangement for Eid-Ul-Azha

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Batt today convened a meeting of district officers and representatives of various religious organizations to review the arrangements for  Eid –ul-Azha .Deputy Commissioner discussed the arrangements to be put in place by the concerned authorities and directed the departments to maintain better coordination. He further directed Auqaf and Masjid Committees to ensure adequate facilities to the devotees.He asked the officials of the municipal committee to ensure cleanliness outside all the mosques. He asked the PDD and PHE departments to ensure adequate supply of power and water during the festive days. Fire and emergency services were asked to keep fire tenders ready at vulnerable places to face any eventuality.Deputy Commissioner directed the Health department, Municipal Council, CAPD, Legal Metrology and Police department to conduct regular market inspections to maintain quality of commodities and  check  overpricing  on essentials  especially meat and poultry.
