Unknown persons on Saturday hurled stones at official quarters, housing move employees, at Mehjoor Nagar Band in Srinagar.Sources told News gathering agency GNS that the incident took place in the evening as a result of which some windows panes of the hotel Rafada were damaged. However, there were no reports about injuries to any Secretariat employee.When contacted Civil Secretariat Non- Gazetted employee Union president Ghulam Rasool Mir confirmed the incident and said it has exposed government failure to provide fool proof security as was the case in Jammu during winters.'" the government is asking other employee to join duties while it has miserably failed even to provide to security to the civil Secretariat employees which are the wheels of the government", Mir said.Mir also demanded govt to take swift action and ensure that no employee is hurt as " life is most cherished and guaranteed by the Constitution".
