Education Minister Announces Names Of State Awardee Teachers
To Honour 34 Teachers With State Awards And 26 Teachers With Appreciation Letters At Sas Nagar On September 5

The Punjab Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema today announced the names of 34 teachers, who will be bestowed with prestigious State Awards while 26 teachers will be honoured with appreciation letters on the Teachers’ Day at a state level function to be held at CGC Landran (SAS Nagar) on September 5. Besides this, 7 PES Cadre Officers/Employees would also be honoured with appreciation letters for their exemplary performance in the assigned duties.While announcing the names of teachers for state awards, Dr. Cheema said that department had formed a five members committee comprising Principal Secretary Education Mr. G. Vajralingam, Director General School Education Mr. Pardeep Aggarwal, DPI (Secondary) Mr. Balbir Singh Dhol, DPI (Elementary) Mrs. Pankaj Sharma and Deputy Director Dr. Ginni Duggal for the judicious selection of teaching fraternity for state awards.
Dr. Cheema further said that besides state awards 26 teachers will given appreciation letters for their good educational services. He said that these teachers would get their awards in state level function to be held at CGC Landran (SAS Nagar) on September 5, where 34 State Award Winner teachers would be honoured with a cash amount of Rs. 25000, appreciation letter, a medal and one year extension on service period and 26 teachers would be honoured with appreciation letter. 7 PES Cadre officers/Employees would also be honoured with appreciation letters.
