MLC, DCC Udh attend Sankri Mela

Member Legislative Council Jugal Kishore Sharma along with Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar today paid obeisance at Sankri Temple and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the state.Speaking on the occasion, the MLC said  that adventure tourism has wide potential in Panchari and Moungri and   stressed upon the Tourism department to develop the area as an important tourist destination.Besides, various cultural programmes were presented by children on the second day of three day historic Sankri mela . A Kabaddi match was also organised in which students from different schools participated in large number. The special attraction of the day   was the traditional Kud dance.The MLC along with the DC felicitated the students who participated in various programmes.CPO Udhampur Rakesh Jamwal, ACD Joginder Singh, PO DRDA Jagdish C.Mehra, ,DTO Ramesh Singh ,DPO Sandeep Seointra ,CHO C.L Sharma,AD CA &PD Harun Naik ,DIO Esha Chib, DIO -NIC Anil Kumar ,other district and sectoral officers besides sarpanches and panches were present on the occasion.
