Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Tuesday said that its chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Zonal president, Noor Muhammad Kalwal were today shifted to JIC Humhama. In a statement issued to KNS, JKLF spokesman said “Yasin Malik who was arrested on 8th July 2016 and shifted to central jail Srinagar on 30th July was today morning taken out of central jail on the pretext of being presented before a court but instead of taking to any court was first taken to Khyber hospital and then to police control room hospital for medical checkup. He was later shifted to JIC Humhama.”He said that similarly, JKLF Zonal president, Noor Muhammad Kalwal has also been shifted to JIC Humhama today. It is pertinent to mention that minutes after his arrest on 8th July 2016, JKLF chairman was put into a solitary confinement, his connections to the outside world were snapped and even his meetings with family were banned.“After shifting him to central jail Srinagar this confinement and snapping his connections from the outside world remained in the same manner but rulers and their authorities still seemed unsatisfied and to put him to more harm, today he has been shifted to JIC Srinagar,” spokesman said.

Meanwhile, JKLF vice chairman, Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt while strongly condemning the illegal solitary confinement and shifting of ailing JKLF chairman said that “the way rulers and their authorities are revengefully inflicting harm to JKLF chairman and others is a proof of their callousness and being enemies of peaceful resistance and democracy.”He said that the way rulers are playing with the health of JKLF chairman and are putting him into solitary confinement is highly dangerous and if anything untoward happens to JKLF chairman; responsibility will lie on the shoulders of callous rulers and their authorities.Terming the recent statement of Chief Minister as absurd and based on blatant lies, JKLF incarcerated chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik before being shifted to JIC Srinagar in his message said that comparing freedom struggle of Kashmiris with war in Syria or Iraq is ridiculous as Kashmiris are fighting for their legitimate right which has been guaranteed to them by international community, United Nations and also pledged by Indian parliament and first Prime Minster Jawahar Lal Nehru and many other leaders.

“Kashmiris are striving for their freedom like Ghandi Jee and his fellow Indians did against British occupation and comparing this peaceful resistance and demand for freedom with War’s in Iraq, Syria and Libya can only be termed as mental bankruptcy of power hungry politicians,” asserted Malik.Terming innocent girl Insha who sustained pellet injuries in her eyes as a glaring example of “Indian barbarism and excessive use of force” against unarmed civilians, Malik said that Indian bullets, pellets and shells have killed more than 75 innocents so-far and have injured more than 8000 people in Kashmir.“More than 600 people have lost their eye sights and majority of those injured have received bullets and pellets on heads, faces and chests but irony is that instead of regretting these killings and injuries and feeling some shame on such use of force, so-called chief minister and others in ruling coalition are shamelessly putting blame on those killed and injured by naming them as attackers who ransacked camps, police stations or tried to snatch weapons. hunger of power and lust of authority have turned these politicians blind and they are busy in adding salt to the wounds of Kashmiris , pushing them to the wall and hence promoting violence,” JKLF chief said.

While condemning the ongoing spree of arrests especially the youth, nocturnal raids, restrictions, beatings throughout Kashmir valley and other oppressive measures, JKLF chairman said that ‘so-called’ rulers after unleashing reign of terror against Kashmiris have now turned towards Pirpanjal and recent arrest and slapping PSA on advocate Hassan Babar Nehru in Doda is yet another example of intolerant rulers who want to suppress every peaceful voice in their pursuit to please their masters in Delhi and Nagpor. He said that Kashmiris have always perused the path of their resistance with peaceful means and in fact it is the state sponsored violence and use of brute force that has been and is the main cause of violence in Jammu Kashmir.Rulers want to impose the silence of a graveyard and want Kashmiris to submit before the illegal occupation and brutal force but they should bear in mind that a nation’s resolve and determination can never be suppressed by such means, asserted Yasin Malik. He said that Kashmir is an internationally acknowledged issue that needs a resolution and people of Jammu Kashmir being the masters of this land and principal party to this dispute have every right to pursue their freedom struggle peacefully and it the duty of international community to fulfil its obligations vis a vis the resolution of Jammu Kashmir issue so that lasting peace, tranquility and prosperity of south Asia is ensured and guaranteed.
